I’m Josh Philip Ross. I’m a dad, a husband, and a writer. Currently completing a memoir about travel in India and Nepal in the 90s, I’m also a UX writer for Samsung in Seoul, where I live with my Korean wife, daughter, and mother-in-law. I hold a BA in creative writing and an MA in Korean studies from Columbia, where I wrote my thesis on Westerners who became Korean shamans. I’ve also worked at Google and was speechwriter for the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Korea to the United Nations in New York.
I play guitar and gayageum poorly, am an award-winning rapper (sixth grade) and Korean dancer (Flushing), and make excellent playlists for driving. Born and raised by Jewish New Yorkers in Marin County, California.
