There’s a kind of latent funk that finds its way into British psychedelic rock from time to time: moments of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon, the transition from “Optimistic” to “In Limbo” on Radiohead’s Kid A.
DJ Mark Ronson — son of guitarist Mick Ronson, most famous for his work with David Bowie — taps into a bit of that hidden funk with this surprising cover of Radiohead’s “Just,” from their second album, The Bends, mightily assisted by the killer horns of New York’s own Dap Kings.
